Well looks a little slow today... so I guess no one will mind me saying that I picked up my new truck last Friday... YaHooo!
43 days from the afternoon I ordered till the salesman called & said it's here! (A week earlier than Insite's estimate)
7 miles on the odometer, sparkly clean and with a FULL tank of fuel! A quick test drive & no pings, no vibrations, no smell, shifted fine & handles great. The Monrony sticker even had my name on it!
Less than two hours later I'm out the door & headed home, invoice minus rebate & farm bureau. ($2500 + $500)
$39,468. 00 before the $45 paperwork fee, $5 tire fee, Calif. tax & Lic... . List was $47,555!
They also gave me a good discount on the Chrysler MaxCare 7/85 warranty, as I'm just not able to do much of my own work anymore... .
The price did go up $171 from when I ordered, but when I mentioned the "price protection" I was told that because I didn't have to put any money down... I couldn't claim the price protection. (I let that one slide... )
(There was also some momentary confusion about how long you have to be a farm bureau member, but I was able to clear that up quickly!)
The only other issue was the optional tires that didn't get ordered... . All in all, it went great & I'm a hard customer to please!
Autoworld Dodge (a five star dealer) in Petaluma, CA. (Northern California)
The salesman's name is Rick Magliari. 800-533-3848. He promised me invoice minus rebates and a five to six week delivery & even without a deposit... he delivered! The added bonus of the full tank and clean truck was just icing on the cake!
Of course everyone's experience varies! I also want to mention that they put a "dealer added mark-up" note on their inventory trucks (I think it was around 5k!).
It ****** me off so much, I just looked at it, turned & walked off the lot a few months ago & swore I'd never go back... . (even though the salesman was trying to tell me he would work with it. )
Now I'm really, really glad I decided to stop by & give them one more chance!!!!
Dan... . really, really enjoying his new 600 CTD!
