My 01 has been pretty reliable. Until Now

Was driving and fuel was very low. Noticed lift pump pressure a couple pounds more than normal (17PSI). Stopped for fuel. Truck would not restart. Bled lines, finally restarted. Though OK. Ran it too low. Drove a short distance, stopped truck and it immediately would not start. Bled lines, restarted. Drove home 10 miles and it died. Got truck home with tow truck. Been messing with it every since and its starts intermittently. It usually will stumble when it starts like after an injector change. If it starts up quickly no stumble. Won't start more often than not. Can't find any leaks. Truck always starts with a little help from starting fluid (grid heaters disconnected). Starter speed seems fine. I am at my wits end on this. Any suggestions. 140k, original vp44. Running 3 lift pumps in series.

3 OEM lift pumps??

Check for codes, and if possible, check to see if you are getting air in the fuel (some times the quick connect fittings will get worn, and not leak fuel under pressure, but will allow air to get pulled in).
