another lube for nv5600

thought you guys might like to look at this lube for nv5600. found it on bobtheoilguy web site just ordered a gallon to change my oil. if anyone wants to know ill post my thoughts after ive ran it awhile i know a short test is of little help but unless you want me to wait 100k its the best i can do right now. give it a look it meets dc spec but i dont think its certified. http://www.specialtyformulations.com/index_files/Page2255.htm

Just put Amsoil 5w30 in. You will feel the difference: less noise, improved mileage, improved lubricity at winter temp. Dan

i'm tempted to try some mobil1 5w30 in mine next time i change it [although i have 5 qts of factory fill sitting in the cold cellar]

MOLAKULE, the owner of Specialty Formulations is VERY highly thought of over at the BITOG.com website. If you read much on the rear-end, transmission forum, over there, he posts quite a bit and seems extremely knowledgeable on lubrication products.



Many people that have tried his products, especially the trans. gear oils, swear by them. They insist the trans shifts smoother than with any other product.



The Schaeffer Oil Co. & Red Line products are very well thought of, also.



There appear to be a number of small lubrication companies that are making very high quality products. Schaeffer's, for instance, is the oldest oil co. in the country. They opened for business in 1839, or something like that. I'd never heard of them until reading the BITOG.com website.



If you have some extra time, there's some very interesting reading to be done over at that website.
