Does the 2K 2500 share the same rearend as the 2500 04. 5? When I trade I'm not giving them that dif. cover if it will fit on the 04. 5.

No. The 2000 has a Dana rearend. The 03 2500's and up have either a 10. 5 or 11. 5 American Axle depending on if it is and SO or HO. SInce all 04. 5's are HO I would guess it would have the 11. 5 AAM. You could probably sell it on the TDR classifieds pretty easy though.
