Another Mallory Pump Tale

Well my Mallory 4140m pump has gone the way of other members around here. The pump was installed 9 months ago and had about 9000 miles on it.



My solution is I ordered a PE-4200 from Advanced Diesel Technolgy. Hopefully this pump will be the fix we are all looking for.

Doug, sorry to hear about the Mallory. I think you'll be happy with the PE pump. I have 4 months now with mine. Hopefully we stumbled onto a single pump solution with this one. If nothing else, we have the 2 year warranty to fall back to. The guys at PE are real concerned about finding a cure for us. I have a tendency to think that they would attempt to troubleshoot a unit failed while installed in a CTD and give a try at a solution, rather than just keep sending us the same pump if it did fail. What did you get it set up to in regards to psi's ? ( I know the top secret method of how to up those psi's, if need be ). Hope it works out for ya .

The PE-4200 comes set at 18-20 psi. The pump should be here on Thursday and I am in hopes of having it installed that day as I have a race in Maryland on Sunday and then I am off to Atlanta to race the following weekend.



The guys at PE were really great. Also Andy at ADT really came through and helped with getting me this setup. Like you I am in hopes that this will be the end of my lift pump woes..... By the way if you have time pm me the "top secret method" for pressure adjustment if you have time.

PE4200...Great !!

I have been testing the PE4200 pump for Andy and Doug for about a month or so. I am pushing a lot of fuel(not as much as you, though) through my cummins and it keeps up with no problems whatsoever. I have a steady 17psi at idle and it is real difficult to pull it under 10psi at WOT, it rebounds back up very quickly also. I see 15psi at typical highway speeds.



I also LOVE the 2 year warranty. The guys at PE are top notch and want to provide us with the best possible pump they can.



If you can't tell by now... I AM VERY VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PUMP
