Installed the napa 2790 moparguy filter in my dually the other day. I couldn't believe the results!EGT's have dropped 150-200 degrees, boost is up 3. 5 lbs over stock boost and Mpg's is up 2 mpg. Throttle response is improved too. All of that for only $47. 00(at my local napa store). UNBELIEVABLE! Next i would like to design a cold air induction for the filter and see what the results would be. Thanks moparguy! May be dc will notice these posts and realize what a larger filter can do. :)

I think my fuel mileage increased a little as well. I want to run a few tanks through before I make any claims.

Were you moving from the Stock airbox?

If you were moving from an RE-0880 I'd expect that maybe the results would be hardly noticeable.

The results were from a stock airbox. About 3 months after buying my qc dually, auto, 4x4 , I installed my egt and boost gauges. With stock filter, I made 16 lbs of boost at wot. Shortly there after, I installed the k&n filter for the stock box and achieved 17. 5 lbs of boost at wot. After about 30,000 mi, the moparguy filter was installed. 19 lbs of boost was achieved at wot. I don't figure the boost gauge would lie. :)

As for the mpg, 14mpg with stock box and 15. 8 with moparguy system. Almost 2 miles per gallon Maybe the 30k miles of break-in had something to do with that also.

The moparguy filter is a napa part no. 2790 paper filter or similar fleetguard filter. (part no. unknown) The filter is for a donaldson airbox. These are the airboxes that you see the side of big rigs. Donaldson is the most common airbox the big rigs use. The filter is 10. 5 inches in dia. and 11. 88 inches in length and will fit nicely onto the end the intake tubing that runs from the turbo up to the stock box. The idea behind the bigger filter is that it has more surface area to filter more air which will alow more cfms.
