Another new guy...

Hey all,



I've been lurking here for awhile now and decided it's about time I introduced myself. I recently purchased a '93 W350 dually ext cab in Arizona (I live in Colorado) with 128k miles. It's a very nice truck, and bone stock except for a Suncoast transmission and torque converter.



I want to thank all the members of the board for sharing their knowledge. Based on recent discussions and my searches of the archives, I called Nascar Mark today and ordered up some POD's and a 16cm turbo housing. An old high school friend works at a speed shop and gave me a deal on some gauges, so I should be set to go. This isn't my first Cummins, but it is the first one I plan to keep just about forever and the first one I will be modifying.

The best medication is more boost and bigger injectors. . straight number 2 and no drugs. You know what they say about drugs they are addictive... .

The TPS controls the 3-4, 4-3 shift.

You may want to try tweaking your throttle valve cable... . but only a miniscule amount at a time.

Make a mark on the slotted bracket with the cable pulled all the way forward (towards rad), then adjust it back to the firewall 1/16" at a time.

In my case that will affect my shifts, though your's may be a bit less sensitive. Keep track of the changes and DON'T go too far one way or another, it can lead to unpleasant results if left out of wack too long...
