Another new record set today! 18,064 visitors!

We are continuing to set new records on almost a daily basis. Prior to the last few weeks our highest visitor count for 1 day to the site was back in March of last year with 13,951 visitors. This month we've only had 5 days with fewer visitors in a day than that and 2 of those 5 days may have been over that but I don't have good log data because of server issues on those days. Today we had 18,064 visitors come to the site!



The best news of all is that the servers have done great through the load today. I've also got the automated backup procedures fully in place and functioning again as well. It's been a long couple of weeks with not much sleep (4 hours at most a night). I think I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! In a couple hours (once I know we are past the peak traffic period for the night) I'm going to go to bed and I'm sleeping until I wake up on my own.

and then not 45 minutes after I posted that mysql locked up with a lower load and fewer users than we had earlier in the day. aaaaaaargh! Looking at it now.

How does the system keep track of visitors? If I login 4 times a day, do I count as 4 visitors?

We need a Webmaster and Moderator appreciation day!! Without them this site woudlnt be the way it is now!. The time they take to make this site the way it is, is extremely impressive! Ive just recently joined but for the past year or so ive been checking it out as a visitor, although I havent watched the changes any that ive noticed are awesome. Its amazing how large TDR is and being from po-dunk-hillbilly town and having a TDR memeber 7 miles away in a neighboring "p-d-h" town is just awesome!

I think Ive printed off and stuck the membership drive flyers uner at least 25+ trucks since I've joined! I just cant get enough of the site, benifits of being a member and the perks of meeting new guys/girls with the same intrests.
