Howdy all, another poor member to go broke doing all sorts bombing here I am hopefully going up to Vancouver to visit Piers and Bill K. to make my truck better (need to get some of the power to the ground to smoke the 'strokes). I want to go as far as possible powerwise without making the milage any worse. By the way I am managing 20mpg on long trips @ 75mph , 16 average to work and back, 10 pulling 21' tt @65mph and I really don't want to hurt any of those numbers. However it would be cool to keep up with my friends 98 5. 7l firebird . How far can I go with power and keep the desant milage and reliability? PS I am thinking about a valet switch to seperate drag racing and towing. thanks for the help.

The mileage on my bombed truck is the same as when it was stock. For reliability, Dodge detuned/Choked down these engines big time. You could turn up the HP 100% from the Dodge rating, and not worry. Cummins has a 5. 9L B Series 12 Valve marine engine rated @ 370 HP. Its basicly the same engine as ours.
