Looks like I'll have to saddle up a horse.



Traded trucks this past weekend with son number 1 (McMclain). His CTD is now broke down in my yard (TX). At least it made it here. Marshall calls me needing parts ordered for my CTD that is at his place (WY). Oh great! Which one do I start with? I borrowed a Ford Escort until I can get the truck running (again). This morning the little green Escort is now Found On Road Dead!!!! It just up and quit and the check engine light came on after it gave up! YIKES!!!

All I can do is shake my head Karen, you've been through a lot in the last few months... Wish I lived closer I could loan you one of my mules. Better yet, you take my 1st Gen and maybe the pump would finally die and I could justify putting a new one on it (just kidding). Hope things work out.

The escort may have a broken timing belt. That is the way they go. Running fine and then instant death.

It was the timing belt. Had it towed 20 miles. Now I'm driving a Ford 1/2 ton. Hard to remember what to look for in the parking lots. Amazing how many people have an extra RUNNING vehicle. Nobody lets me touch their Dodge's tho!
