I was telling a friend of mine about the pdr hx35 that i was planning to buy for my truck and he was wondering if even a completely stock truck like his would benifit from this turbo? Also he was concerned about the extra boost that these turbos put out over the entire range and wondered if it would cause too much cyl. pressure and if it affected fuel miliage?

Hey,

Yes even a stock truck will benifit from more air. Your cool down time will be shorter, your egt's from pulling or hot rodding will be lower and your power will be up. I have personaly put a PDR HX35 on my truck with a stock engine, running stock injectors and fuel settings. I felt the power difference and milage was up slightly.

As far as too much cylinder pressure. You won't hurt anything by just adding a turbo. You need more fuel and turbo to reach high cylinder pressures or too high of pump timing ( which is hard to do with our 1st gens ) to do damage.
