Competition Ladder bars for first generation ext. cab??

I was also wondering what gear(s) to run when pulling.

I have been told low range 3rd gear & also

high range 2nd gear. This is the first time i have ever

pulled & just a little curious. Thanks for the info.



I have an 01. 5, quadcab, short box. Auto (triple disc-billet-red plates)

edge ez,dd2's,vulcan,b-1,4" exhaust,bhaf,385/75r16 pro comps

What rear end ratio do you run? I run 4. 10s with 35's and I have been keeping it in 2nd low, manually shifting from first once the rpm is up to 4k.

You probably have the DLD transfercase, I would check.

There is a tag on the transfercase, or look under the hood, if your tag says shift on the fly, you have the DHD. I wouldn't reccomend pulling in high range with the DLD unit.

With that high of a ratio I'd definately stay on the low side. . Otherwise you won't do much good IMO.

Low side, 2nd gear. Manually shift if you like.
 
I put mine in manual 2 and let it go. It depends on how tight a convertor you run and the RPM your goint to turn. I would say you should go to drive with a 24V without a redline box.
