I was wondering also how does the hub seperate from the drum?Does it press off or do I just knock out the studs and do I replace the studs or can I reuse?I don't have a factory manual I have a bunch of Hayes and chilton and they don't tell you jack.
I whacked the studs out with a hammer and reused them. If your hand-eye coordination isn't trustworthy then leave a lug nut on so you don't ruin the threads. The hub will come out next without too much effort. I think I just dropped it on the ground from about 6" and it popped out of the drum. I also removed the oil slinger and put that back on the new drums. Didn't want to replace the shoes if the seal leaked.
