Has anyone done the math on rpm @70 mph with the older (mine) trucks with 3:55 ratio and the newer ones with 3:73 ratio and bigger tires? bg

A 2nd Gen with a 3. 55 will have the same cruising RPM as a 3rd gen with a 3. 73, assuming the 2nd gen has 265/75 tires.

They will both cruise at 72 mph at 2000 rpm. The 3rd gen tires are taller by the same amount of the gear change, so they offset each other.
