Another school shooting in Pennsylvania, 2 girls. Only a shoulder wound. (lucky or?)

Some have said this is happening because God has been taken out of the classroom.

Well, this was a Catholic School.

Now what?

Gene, over 12 copycat shootings and bomb threats since Santana high shooting. Our media is making all the little wanabes come out of the woodwork.

Guys, there was an article in the paper today about a teenager that had a baby, didn't want it so she threw it over the fence to some dogs who proceeded to kill it and then tear it up. This is really heart breaking and i'm afraid it shows the mindset of some of the youth today. (I know this is just a few of the kids, not all of them)

I wonder if this sort of thing happened during the fall of the roman empire? Sure seems like this country is rolling down the hill and going faster and faster!

She wouldn't have gotton knocked up if Piers "Ten simple rules for dating my daughter" were obeyed. May sound cold but it's true, what is a teen doing getting knocked up, did the parents fail... I say they did. My opinion and you are entitled to it.

Maybe it's the wrong kind of God.

Or more than likely it's just that we've hopelessly screwed up society with "I have 2 mommies/daddies", "Thou shalt not spank junior", "Prozak, Ritalin... the family the medicates together stays together", etc. and this is what we end with.

In that case, I'm glad I have weapons at home.

Paccool, it's been happening all along. Nothing's changed except media coverage. If the girl/dog thing had happened in 1930, the story would not gave made it to the next town. Now, it hits the wire and if the media thinks its a "good" story then it goes worldwide.

Want to do something interesting? Go to your local library, and ask to see the old newspapers. Pick your decade, any will do. Read the second and third pages, the stories sound JUST like today's news. It's a real eye-opener. Parents killing children, children killing children, rapes, mass murder, you name it. Contrary to popular belief, this generation did not invent the aformentioned crimes. It's human nature.

Sorry for the rant... where's my Prozac! #ad

MGM, they took the victim to the hospital in my little borough down here. The Media frenzy was saddening. I saw many of the local networks and heard about some of the national media calling in for info.

The Media sickens me more everyday.
The "Jackal" title Jessie Ventura gave them was more than 90% deserve.

Just once I would like to hear Blow-chow, Canadien boy, or, old as dirt, but my hair is jet black, tell us about how a little old lady blew away a bad guy. Just one sentence.
"Grandma protected herself and her grandchildren using a firearm against an assault. "

More interesting stuff in the local rag... .

Father of the victim pointed out that this is NOT a gun control issue. It is a social issue in dealing with kids who are left out.

Victim has her own hunting rifle.

Shooter was observed by the vitims father to be a lonely sort who seemed to have no friends, and that there was no fued, simply a lonely kid who needed more support from the school.

Victim is in satisfactory condition and doing well. Worst problem, other than pain, is the guilt she feels for having been the reason for school closing.

It should be noted that a fellow student, against the administrations wishes, stood up, walked to within ten feet of the shooter, and convinced not to shoot herself and to put the gun down. During this time she pointed the gun directly at him, yet he persisted. One young man deserves recognition for his courage, composure and commitment to helping end the situation. I hope there are more like him out there, we in our old age will need them.
