All,
Here's the scoop... I bought the RB1 nav system. Presently have the RB4. I also have factory Sirius radio. I understand that in order for the RB1 to display the artist/song, then I must have the artist/song cable... which I bought as well. From my understanding, it must be connected from the RB1 to the multiplex splitter box. Here's the question... just where is the multiplex splitter box?
Any help would be greatly apprecitated.

if i remember right you have to get the disc changer and splitter. wire it all up and then you have it. somehere on here was a wiring diagram.

If I remember correctly the normal cable that comes with the Sirius tuner has the extra wire in it to give the Artist/Title info to the RB1. It is when you add the Sirius tuner to the RB1 that already has an CD changer that you get the problem. If you get the splitter/multiplexer and other adapter cables you will find that the reuse of the CD changer to RB1 cable when used with the splitter ends up not having enough wires to carry the signal to the RB1.

Artie,

Just to clarify this in my old mind... IF I don't have the CD changer, I won't need the artist/title cable?
Thanks,
Jack

That is correct and as a matter of fact if you cannot even plug it in to the tuner because the artist/title cable has a 10 pin connector that plugs into the back of the RB1 while the other end has an 8 pin connector that plugs into the splitter and will not fit the 12 pin that is on the tuner.
