Hi all,
Just joined TDR yesterday but been reading for a few weeks.
I've got my 05 3500 2wd DRW on order and should be here shortly. Explain the . 5 thing that people put next to their trucks? Does Dodge make 1/2 year's?
I traditionally do all my own work on cars. I also have never owned a diesel. I plan on keeping my truck as stock as possible as I think it should have plenty of power
I'm really a Ford guy but with the problems of the 6L I was just too scared to go that route. I test drove 2 CTD's and both of them drove great so that sold me. I plan on pulling a 5th wheel with the truck, main reason for the purchase.
Is there a newbe faq or help for newbees that someone has put together? This would help new owners from asking lots of common questions. I know that there are differences of opinion like how often to change the oil, what brand, how to break in new engine etc but there must be some consistancy.
I was also surprised to see how most of the forum topics deal with bombing. Don't get me wrong I'm only 30 and have a moded Mustang for that kind of thing. But in my experence mod's tend to reduce reliability and that's my 1st goal in this
Thanks for listening and I'll keep reading.
Dave
