I hate to beat a dead horse but I'm confused about tire ratings or at least the ones on the Toyo Open Country M/T. The Toyo website has the 35X12. 50R17 E with a max load of 3640lbs. and the 35X12. 50R18 E at 3415lbs.

The LT315/75R16 does not show a rating but I'm assuming it's load range D, and the max load is 3860lbs. Es are supposed to handle more weight than Ds, right? If it's load range E, it's the only one in 315/75/16 I have found. All three tires are about the same size but the 315/75R16 is a bunch cheaper and will fit on a 16X8 wheel. All the other 315s I've found have a max load of around 3200lbs.

Will I feel a difference with a 2000# camper on the truck?

Any light shed on the subject is much appreciated.

On tires, what do you want? a Good traction tire that can handle the weight but sorta skinnier like a 265 tire... . i have the Michelin 245/75-19. 5" XDE -MS 12 ply "F" rated (about 33")... Lasts longer than anything, (about 80-100K) runs good and good mileage... The rims are "Eliminator" from Ricksons. .

The bigger, wider tires, even if they can hold the weight, are a softer compound for off-roading, you won't even get 30-40K with the added weight of the camper... .
