Does anyone know what the reason was for DC to change from the standard 245 size on the 99's to 265 in the later model years? Did they feel that there was a benefit in the larger size? If so,,,,, what?

My 245's are beginning to reach the end of their service. Just wondering if I should stick with the 245 or go up to the 265. Presently, my mileage averages around 21 to 22 MPG. I don't want to decrease those numbers.

Thanks in advance!

My Father-In-Law put a set of BFG 265's on his 99 to replace the stock Michelein 245's. He has seen no mileage decrease whatsoever. He also has been getting between 18 and 21. It fills up the wheel well a little nicer too:D . His speedo must have been off before or the 265's make little to no difference, because we checked it with my Streetpilot and it was dead on.
