another windshield wiper question

My"delay" function on my wipers has quit, although the constant low and high are working flawless. Whats with that?

Don't feel left out, mine tends to not shut off, and the delay only works for a short time then runs at a normal speed and will not shut down for a while(might be a heat problem with th electronics). I am thinking it might be the wiper control module under the dash, but haven't had time to mess with it,and it is a dealer part. If you find out whats causing yours to screw up,please let me know.

It seems the contacts for the delay function are made of crappy material that gets crudded up - try working the delay knob back and forth a number of times to see if it cleans up the contacts back to normal - I've had the same problem, it usually clears up easily, but a similar problem with the hi/lo headlite beams is another thing... #ad

There is a small plastic box(green, I think) under the dash. It is between the steering column and the radio. It is the wiper delay relay. It is bad and not making contact.
