Just for those who were wondering. There have been a rash of posts lately on turbos and this just may help. The below list covers the HOLSET Turbos only.

One of the sections mentioned piston ring type seals to keep pressurized air out of the bearings. When I removed my turbo silencer and had to get that ring out of there to pull out the silencer, am I now letting bad things happen to my bearings?
