Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) answers

Truck 99 CTD mostly stock till more trans mods are done. Stock converter, suncoast valve body. My Q manual lockup good or bad W/ stock converter? I want this for help stoping more than anything off ramps etc. (to get the load moving (slow roll) and revs down not wot runs) lock up in second will this kill my trans/tcc quick? can I set up multi position switch to go from stock trans control to lockup on my Q with a flick of a switch ?
