Antbody using Lukes' link?

Anybody using Lukes' link?

I'm going for the dreaded trackbar and tie rod ends etc on wed and have a chance to stick in a Lukes's link.

Is this setup any good or should I try something else?

I just installed two...

One on the track bar and one on the pitman arm. Pretty easy to do. Good warranty, rebuildable again, if they become loose. My truck is so "tight" again, I have to watch what I am doing. Not many miles, but looks good so far. I would recommend them.

I installed one on the track bar last year. It made the truck track better than new (still not great, but much better). Total install took about 1 hour and as I recall it was about $50 delivered.



BTW: I was on my third track bar!!! at only about 110,000 miles. So far the Luke's performs as advertised.

i have experienced the opposite,

my luke link was on the track bar and would be great for a few days but then i would have to tighten up,

TRUE it was better than not having it but i wore out the red rubber bushing within 5,000 miles, it was half the height as new...

I now have a moog trackbar and am VERY happy with it!



AS FOR THE LUKES LINK- its for sale- twenty dollars!, but will probably need a rebuilt

just put on the lindstat repair kit. the parts fit great and there is no plastic inside. it's all metal and if it gets loose just pull the cotter pin and turn it tighter and reinstal the cotter. my opinion only.

If you look in the 2nd Gen forum, I started a thread titled "Trac bar and Luke's Link". My experiance turned up a bad flaw!

MikeR, I see what you mean about it hitting the front diff after having a closer look.

Thats no good for me because of the off roading I do.

I spend a lot of my free time out checking cattle or fence when I'm home through some pretty rough country.
