Can i purchase the anti defueling device from haisleys website and use it with my edge comp. I figured that would be easier to do than sending the comp back to edge and getting the race versions burnt onto it. But will it work the same I know that the edge comp defuels at 2700 rpms and if you send the comp to them for 125 bucks they will reburn it and it wont defuel. I can get the anti defueling device for 69 bucks from haisley machine will it work though. I have a 99. Also do these anti defuling devices help much

So can i purchase that anti defueling device instead of getting my comp reburnt from edge. I figured that if i can it will save me some time and also some money. Will somebody please answer my question i know what the anti defueling device does. I am looking for something so my 99 wont defuel and i need to know if you can run a anti defueling device with my edge comp and will it work the same as getting the comp reburnt to drag mode.

I'm not sure what haisley's anti defueling device actually does but if it is just a boost fooler -as mentioned above- then I doubt that it will keep your comp from de-fueling. I would recommend just sending your comp in and getting it upgraded! I just did it on my 01 and went from a 14. 1 to a 13. 9 in the quarter mile!! I love the upgrade - definitely worth the money IMO! I paid $13 dollars for next day air shipping and only had to do without it for 3 days!

Defueling for two different reasons. The MAP is to prevent defueling due to overboost, and the Drag Comp overrides the ecm's defueling over 2700 rpm.

The same thing was talked about here not too long ago.

To answer your question, no it will not do you any good. You already have a boost fooler in the Comp box.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but... LAMiller, what are your egt's at the end of the quarter with that hy35??

Uh Well Uh I actually don't know for sure because my 1600 degree gauge is pegged by the time I hit 70mph  --- so by the time I hit 95 I really can't say but its a little on the warm side!

Ive got the BD Race Box, its a 'Edge" product (sticker is on back) should I find a place to have it upgraded? Its only about a year old

Ahhhh... I see :--) ! I'm assuming your probe is mounted in the manifold. My current combo runs 14. 3@92 and I'm seeing 950-1000 post turbo but I'm upgrading to Mach 4's and installing a marine 12 valve gasket and studs from Doug @ PDW and a K&N cold air kit that someone is letting me try out. also mounting the probe in the manifold to get a more accurate reading. Goodluck with those twins. :)
