it'll probably take a zillion years to get the old trucks of the road, here at my place the mass transit people do wear out the busses so they are not as bad as they used to be. but look at all old dodges thats still on the road? and with the diesel engines, how long does it take, normally to put on a million miles, when one normally drives 8M to 20M a year? i'm not going to figure it out. but you can.

It started with tobacco. Next it was the french fry! Now it's diesel fuel. If this stuff is so bad, ban it. Don't get the food and environmental nazis to put out position statements as though they are gospel, to browbeat people into behaving a certain way, or as a precursor to raising taxes.

How many of us 'breathe' enough diesel exhaust fumes for this to be a problem?



The study is full of inuendos. Just the type things that enviro-Nazis can make the mis-informed public over react to.



Too much of anything can kill you - which BTW my wife does a great job of protecting my longevity.



How much lower can we go removing sulfur from fuel - diesel, kerosene, fuel oil, jet fuel, etc.



It's not just trucks.



And the long running diesel truck engines on the road - isn't that why they built the Duramax?

... and how about installing those hazardous chemical placards on the tailgates of our trucks? Where can I get me a Skull and Crossbones?

... the way I understand it is they have no concrete evidence that diesel fumes cause any health problems... period. I'm sure if you suck on an exhaust pipe long enough it might be bad for you . What about this testing on poor defensless animals... wait till P. I. T. A. (intentional miss-abbreviation)gets wind of this ... Doug

That tears it. When I have Tom do my spray-in bedliner, I'm going to get the glow-in-the-dark version and put radioactive warning stickers on the truck.
