Anti lock brake light

I drove my truck to work the other morning, it sat all day, and when I started on my way home the anti-lock light and brake light came on and have been on ever since. I have check the fluid, it is full to the top. My problems all seem to have ganged up on me this time. I told my truck if there is one more problem on the way, there might be something with an inline pump taking over it's parking space.

Run the fault codes for your ABS. Behind your glove box is the ABS control module. there is a wire just before where the wiring plugs in to the box. Ground it for just a second and the ABS lite will blink a code. Post it here and I/we can tell you what it means.

OK? If this is not clear enough say so and I can go into more detail.

Oh, and the key must be on for this to work.

I will give it a try and see what happens, I'll try to do it as soon as I can

Open the drivers door with the key in the ignition. The buzzer should be sounding, Reach under the stearing colum and remove fuse box, Remove fuse #5. Buzzer should stop sounding, Count to 10 then replace fuse and box. This resets codes for ABS .

The reason I do it this way is because of the fragile conector on the side of the computer behind the glove box.

would that fuse beeing out cause the lights ABS + !P to be on? my lights have been on since I got it in november. no buzzer either????

I am having the same problem with the ABS light on my 92. Fluid is full and brakes are set up and engaging. It came on and I started checking and the brakes had backed way off. I can see that would make it think the shoes were gone so reset the system by pulling the fuse. I am getting 9 flashes when I ground the wire for the brake computer. Is there a reference on the web that lists the codes or do I have to fight with the local Dodge dealer to get some info? Thanks for any input.

9= Speed sensor wiring/resistance (usually high reading)



I think that is the speed sensor at the rearend, but I'm not sure.
