Anyone had problems w/ their anti-lock and e-brake lights coming on and staying on.

I recently put new cv axles in the front.

You need to check the ABS sensors in the wheel bearings. Maybe you broke one (or both) when you worked on the axles.

ABS controller corrosion

I have the same problem disabling my ABS brakes. The dealer told me I have corrosion between the ABS controller and the connector. "A nickel worth of dielectric grease would have prevented problem". Called Dodge customer service for assistance and they declined to help. Sad day for Dodge when they think its ok for a safety system to fail like this. Problems like this need to be reported to NHSTA. This is how recalls are started. If you have this same condition, please report.

update

:confused:No prob w speedo. Used my 4x4 the other day and shortly after the lights went off and so far no probs since. been @ a week now. ?????

The third gens seem to have a little documented issue where the yellow "ABS" AND red "brake" lights come on after a hard spin of the rear wheels or other action which confuses the ABS computer. After a few start/drive cycles, the codes clear and the lights go away...

Freind of mine has a 3500 w/ Hemi and the abs sensor on the rearend has a loose connection. When the lights come on all he has to do is crawl under the truck and wiggle the wires. This usually happens when he has a heavy load on it.

If you are having abs light coming on, I recomend checking the ABS controller to harness connection. Controller is located on firewall under hood. Mine corroded because Dodge did not have the foresite to use a little dielctic grease at the connector. Very expensive repair that could of been prevented.

On my '01, if I do a serious burnout where I catch 4th or 5th while still barely moving, the abs and brake lights come on. Letting out of the throttle and tapping the brake makes them go back out.
