Just found out I had this. Was going to change oil in diff and was reading tdr mag and they said to put the hypoid oil in from dodge if I had limited slip. Printed out my options at local DC dealer and I have anti spin. Is this the same as limited slip and what does it do for me?

You don't need to buy the additive from D/C any parts supplier carries it. "some gear lube has it all ready int its mixture. STINK'S.

I changed my differentials with regular 80/90 gear oil. When going down the freeway the truck would do a strange pulling and ugly noise. Changed the oil again put Dodges additive in did the figure 8's to work it into the clutches and still it would lock up the clutches after going straight on the freeway. A trip to the Dodge dealer who I asked what kind of oil to used resulted in a different story this time. You have to use a synthetic gear oil only. I belive it's 75/90 several mfg's have it and then put Dodges additive in with it. It cured my wierd shutters and noises.

Yep it is the same.

It puts power to both rear wheels. prevents one tire from spinning only can be good can be bad. On wet roads makes the truck fish tail more easily but if off road it is harder to get stuck, also pulls a bit better on slippery surfaces like boat ramps etc.
