Help!! I want to wire in a anti-theft switch to disable the starter on my 'o6 3500. Issue 53 page 36-37 says that the yellow wire in the bundle from the key switch is the one I need to wire the switch in to. Problem is, there is no yellow wire in that bundle. There is a white wire with a yellow stripe, a green wire with a yellow stripe, and a black (or very dark blue) wire with a yellow stripe. Has anyone done this on their '06? Big trucks in my area are stolen with distressing regularity. thanks

On my 05 I found the yellow wire in a big bundle of wires coming from the steering column. try looking there.

it should be a 20 gauge dark green with yellow tracer on an 06. But remember anything that shows will give a theif a heads up on which wire he needs to jump

My 06 has the sentry key. Got some keys made, they will open the door and start the motor but it will only run for a few seconds.

They meed to be programmed ;) read your owners manual,I think it will tell you the procedure.

They procedure to bypass the sentry key??? They are just cheap keys. I knew they would only open the door.

Best anti-theft device is the key. Put a cheep $5 in a magnetic box under truck. Had locksmith take my two keys and program another. I stash it in the truck. Works great if I get locked out or my hunting pardner is on the other side of the hill and needs to drive the truck.

Yes,but not cheap. Remove youe ecm, send it to Bob Wagner have him delete the sentry key system, remove the skim module BEFORE reinstalling the ecm. Voila... ... ... ... bypassed:-laf

If it were easy to bypass,it would be easy to steal, thus pointless.

I guess I should not have chimed in here. I did not want to bypass anything I need the sentry key where I live, but they do not hold up very well in my leash while surfing, hence the cheap key to open the door. THanks

right you are, bob--thanks--soldered my switch leads, covered with shrink tubing, re-taped bundle--can't be seen unless you remove the lower dash panel--works like a champ--thanks again
