I have a neighbor running a 3500 and while I was testing my coolant, I decided to go talk to him and check his too. He has a 2018 model. I use the fleetguard strips. While I needed to put about 10 oz of DCA4 in my coolant. When I checked his, it looked to be offscale and his SCA's were nowhere near the green zone on the chart. I dont know if he had it flushed before and or if there may just be a wrong coolant in his truck. How important is the SCA in these trucks and is fleetguard antifreeze basically the best thing to use and what is the story on all of this? Hoping to get him signed up on TDR.

Thanks..

No coolant additives needed for our trucks, ever. That being said I switched to Peak Final when I flushed my system. Cheaper than buying Mopar coolant, more readily available, and it meets CES14603.
