I am headed out of here in the morning with a load of hay, so I was checking all the fluids. Down inside the radiator neck there was some slimy green stuff in the threads, so I flipped the cap over and inside the cap where the spring is was approx. 1/2 a teaspoon of this gray gunk. It has the consistancy of baby food. I cleaned it all up, but should I be worried? I have a '95 w/ 118K. I just changed that antifreeze w/ the Fleetgaurd Complete approx. 1 year ago when I did a complete flush. Should I be concerned? Any of you guys ever checked underneath your radiator caps? Thanks in advance for the info. Jeff

Bad news,it sounds like oil is leaking into your coolent some how. Check underside of your oil fill cap and see if there is white gunk on it. Has your engine over heated recently, could be a head gasket. Hopefully it could be as simple as the water you put in your raditator, water high in magnesium or sulfur can cause gray slime when mixed with other chemicals, whether antifreeze is one of them I'm not sure. It's always best to use distilled water in your rig. Good luck

Could this be something left over, like radiator flush and/or some of the stuff it was supposed remove from the system, and attached it self to your radiator cap when the coolant was at normal operating tempature?

Didnt read all of your post BUT oil pressure is greater than water(coolent ) psi.
Which means clean it out,IF it re-accures most likely oil cooler area (ie) gasket.
Dead bang cure replace cooler also.
Why? do you have a gig to pressure test the cooler tubes? NO. Does your local cummins shop ?????? most likley not. Replace it. .
The second time labor will be saved.
