Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Antifreeze

What type of antifreeze is recommend for the 2nd gen motors?

I personally use Prestone 5/150 extended life. It has been found to meet the specs.

I am using the blue color Fleetguard Compleat.

Any trouble mixing the blue color fleetguard a/f with the green stuff? Or did you flush all of the green out of the system?

I flushed it all out. However, Fleetguard said that there's no problem with a small amount of mixing. Large amounts of mixing, they say, reduce the life expectancy.

If your truck has 200k miles on it I would take it down to a radiator shop and get the thing boiled out and pressure checked. Replace all radiator hoses and clean out the whole system. Use Fleetgaurd stuff only
