this pink stuff in the radiator is it ethylene or propylene. I had a friend call and ask me this the other day , he overheated pulling a trailer, and I told him I would ask the experts, so.
Third gens use Zerex G-05, which is ethylene glycol. It is a light yellow color, but definitely not PINK. It is made for less corrosion on aluminum radiators. You can find it at NAPA and possibly AutoZone. It costs about $1 more per gallon than regular Prestone. See website below for more details.

Give us some details on the overheat. That is pretty rare for a Cummins. I would make sure the cooling fan hasn't failed. I have worked mine rediculously hard in severe heat and never even seen it get hot much less overheat. Just curious.
You're right - the original fill is orange in color. The G-05 straight from Zerex is light yellow. Guess it has been a while since I had the original fill.
Looks like the Final Charge antifreeze is good stuff, but if one were still under warranty they may want to use the Zerex since it specifically meets the Chrysler spec. I will definitely look at the Final Charge for my next change.
the friend has a 2006 , 2500 auto and was pulling a 34 foot camper at Nags Head , on Saturday boiled over and he called and asked what kind of antifreeze it had . I asked if it was green he said pink . I said, check that owners manual didn't know if propylene antifreeze could go in there.
