Any 315/75/16 a/t e rated tires available ?

Guys Ive been shearching this forum & the net for e rated tires in 315 or 35" x16 size for my truck for hours now. No luck yet. I just bought a 5er & want to be safer than a D. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks--Proflow

I thought BFG was now selling their larger size AT in an E, you might check that out. I also heard that the load range no longer relates to the number of plys in a tire. Is that true?

The 285 BFG is an E, none bigger (click here for spec sheet ). The 285 is a 33" tire , where the 315 is a 34. 5" tire.

It is true that the load range no longer equals sidewall plys - it is now 'sidewall ply equivalent' and really dictates the max PSI therefore the stiffness of the sidewall.

You might check Toyo Open Country 315-75-16 #360230. They're rated@ 3860lbs. @65psi. Don't know if that's a "E" but it's pretty close.

I just got the 315/70/17 trxus A/T rated at 3640lbs. with 10 ply sidewall. I believe that size is also made for a 16in rim. These tires are made by Interco.
