Dodge Perkins

$2.29/gallon diesel in San Diego

ok ive been searching in vain for 3. 54 limited slip gears for a 4x4 truck with a dana 80 rear. and i can't seem to find them.

if somebody has a set of gears they want to sell or has what i want and wants 4. 10s i can do a trade. the gears i have are 4. 10 limited slip with a 165k miles.

now the catch i can't be without my truck for any length of time. i can cope with a day maybe 2 but not the amount of time it takes to send gears any significant length and get them installed. i understand that this is not an attractive thing to most members here. thats why im bringing it up now so we dont get into the details and decide it cant be done. anyways if anyone wants to swap or has gears let me know cause i am getting desperate

If it is on the truck in your signature, you will need to do both axles. I swapped a rear axle in my '96 when I converted it to a dual wheel. It may be best to find an axle and swap the entire thing. I did this and installed new brakes, wheel cylinders and seals when I did it. Mine is 4. 10 though. got a set of 3. 54 gears for a Dana 70, but that won't help ya. Also have a new, never installed set of 3. 08 gears for a Dana 80.

Maybe its easier for you to have new ring and pinion gears intalled along with a limited slip unit?

If so, these guys have you covered Ring and Pinion

the biggest thing is price. its not worth it to buy all brand new parts i need to find used ones that are cheap or swap with someone for nearly free
