just curious , i have a leak in my cowl and i know they are going to blame it on mods done to my truck now that the TDR ratted me out .

My dealer called and said I couldn't come back until I dropped out of the TDR. They said you guys are a bad influence.



My dealer should thank me for joining this group because I save them alot of bills from Cummins for doing repairs.

Brandon, I couldn't find any of nutter's old posts, they must have been lost in the change over or he changed his handle. I thought of his story when I read this post also. For those who don't know the story-- nutter's engine blew under warranty, he removed his mods before taking the rig in, dealer dug up his posts on TDR and denied warranty on his rig based on his signature without even checking out the engine. Cummins did an autopsy on the engine, it had been run at very high EGTs due to mods. In the end it turned out that nutter's pyro was reading low and he had been running at high EGTs without his knowledge. Good plug for gauges, don't even think of bombing without good ones, they should be your first mod period. Nutter bought a new engine with his own money. After this happened many folks changed their sigs not to include their names or mods. Someone correct me if I didn't get the story right.

Believe he was running it post turbo at the time as well.

Boy this is funny. When I purchased my truck I was given a brochure of the ram trucks just like you get at any dealer when shopping around for a vehicle. On that brochure (2001) page 21 it states the following "More than 12,000 Cummins powered Ram advocates have formed the Turbo Diesel Register. They meet regularly and drive their Cummins-power Rams to roundups throughout the nation (call 1-770-844-1600 for more information). "



THAT'S how I found TDR. Your dealer deserves for someone to show them this brochure.

Mine was yanked last year. I suppose that people could get in a little trouble now though. Just say that you were lying and you don't have any mods, you just wanted to impress everyone. Then when the ask to see it, tell them it'll take a couple of hours to "deliver" it to them. I guess it's as the old line goes... I am my own warranty station.

gee , i thought this got deleted .



jnutter only had a VA for HP mods , his pyro was post turbo and he was sold a probe not rated for diesel use (??) . anywho his dealer had the goods on him from this site .



his failure is suspect , very lo miles and no way the 100 fts lbs the VA added did in his engine .



i'm not looking for any drivetrain repairs but i'll go ballistic in the middle of their showroom if they deny to fix something not related to the drivetrain because of info gathered from the site they promote in the sales brochure ... . i wonder if money changed hands to get the info ???

Let me see, the dealer will say something like this... .

" the added power of your non-factory components has caused the cowl to flex more, thus allowing water to seep out of your oversized tailpipe. Now the larger air filter is causing an area of low preassure that is allowing the aforementioned tail-pipe water to pool on the front bumper. So you see sir, it is your bedliner that is not allowing the turbo/big air filter-pooled water to drain properly. Besides, we are unable to duplicate customers concerns at this time. May we intrest you in an oil-change... . "



Yup, that is how I see it going down... .

Lucky for me I told my service manager what I was going to do. At the time he tried to hook me up with a guy that was doing mods to customers trucks. He had the guys card in his pocket. He told me that unless I break something twice he will fix it. This is as of yet untested and will undoubtedly fail when I try it, but what the heck.
