Drill Instructor Ambush:

I have an oppurtunity to go fly fishing in Colorado this weekend and wanted to know what would be a few good choices for flies. I'll be around the Colorado Springs area. I'm kind of a novice to fly fishing, but I have fished the world famous waters of Spring Creek and Fisherman's Paradise here in PA. :D

ever fished Yellow Breeches Creek? We stopped by one day, it was fly fishing only and we had spinning gear

Sounds like a good placde to try, but in central PA I've never fished that far south. I used to fish alot of the streams around around central PA while I was at Penn State. I have a cabin on the Somerset/Bedford county lines and that is where I spend most of my time now.

Can't help much on flies, but you might want to check w/ some locals. Here in Wyo. , stream fishing is not good right now b/c of spring runoff from the mtns. Might be the same in Colo.

Thanks wyosteve, hadn't thought about that. We don't have much run off in PA. I figure either way I'm gonna go since the oppurtunity is there!
