I have been sorta looking for a set of OEM take-off alloy wheels an 265/70/17 E tires for my 03 3500 SRW. Is there any difference between the 3500 SRW an 2500 as far as wheel ratings, also if I happen to find some that came off a truck that was equipped with a Hemi, is there a difference in wheel weight, or rating between the Hemi an Cummins. You know that Cummins is heavy.

I have seen one 3500 DRW that was Hemi equipped on the road, most I see has the Cummins :D

Thanks

Don't think so. I bought a set of the cast five spokes on 265's (ebay) for mine. I will be curious to see the forged Alcoa 17X8's on the new Power Wagon.

I would say there's no chance the wheels are any different for gassers. There'd be no point in making different wheels for gassers vs. diesels. I wouldn't worry a bit about what they were on originally.

I thought I read on this site that some of the earlier stock alloy's were so porous that they actually leaked air from the tires. I'm sure someone here can either verify or correct this information. Hope this helps. Joe F. (Buffalo).

Joe: there was a recall on some of the earlier model 03 alloy's produced on some trucks back in spring of 03. I would have to go do a search through the forums to find the exact time frame though. I don't remember the cause for the recall.
