Why do you love America?

I am a Lineman for the City of Austin here in Texas, and was wondering if there are any other Linemen in the TDR crowd around the country?  Speak up Guys I know you are proud of what you do.

Well I work for the City of Austin(Austin Energy) too. They just took us over about 1. 5 yr ago. We are over here in what they call the Domain in the Distributive Cooling part. My son works for Austin Energy too. He works on the Transmission Lines/towers. I guess he's been with them about 6 yrs works out of the north yard. Wife works for Austin Energy too. She is down on Barton Springs Rd. I think she is the billing manager. She has probably 30 yrs. will retire shortly. Small world.

I know Nick and Casey I worked with them on Highline, I thought of him when I would see Flatonia on your posts, but as there are a (few) Schultz' in that area I would have never guessed. Did know about the white single cab he used to drive. Maybe I'll run into you at work sometime, see ya.

You talking about the white 99 Nick has. Still has. I keep telling him to get him one of the 03/04 but he is too tight with his money(like his mother). Casey got him a 03. There are quite a few Dodges/Cummings around Flatonia area now.

I think he has 130000 or around 140000 on it now. I got 23000+on my 03 and 56000+on the VW. I was just talking to him and he said he knows you. You work out of the south yard correct. Thats why I bought the VW to take some of those miles off the truck.

Yeah I work at St. Elmo in Distribution, I would of figured he would have had more than that , I guess carpooling works. This storm is tearing the North Austin area up, may have to go to work tonight  Oh well it is overtime, later.

I work for

City Public Service

San Antonio, TX

(Gas & Electric Company)

right now I am on an underground electrical construction crew, but I am putting in for a cable splicer helper. . hopefully I can get it!!

Yep Nick got called in last night at 8. His wife said she met him on the road this morning going home. They called Casey at 11. They lost power here on 2nd shift at 8 but he was able to get ever thing restarted. I wish I could of got the OT Nick gets when I was that age. $$$$$$$$$$$

Just got home 18. 5 hours today, I'm TIRED going to bed , gotta do it again tomorrow, poor people in North Austin got Hammered. :(

Yep Nick has been out there too. They got him working nights. He's not home yet(off today and I can see his house from ours). You fellows are what keeps things going. Theres probably lots of people out there that don't know what yall go through, hours you work and the conditions you work in. You gotta do what has to be done. Things like this takes one hell of a man:eek:

Lineman here. I'm out of IBEW Local 769 in Phoenix. Worked all over the country and Canada on all kinds of jobs. Been on a 110 mile double circiut 345/138KV job in Wisconsin for about 18 months now. I love my job and wouldn't trade it for any other.
