Any experience with Herculiner?

Anybody use this D. I. Y. bedliner kit. I am curious because I'm too cheap to have one sprayed in. I'm a TRUE Scottsman.

Or tell me about another brand. Thanks

My friend did the inside of his Land Cruiser and he loves it. I have to admit, when it was shiny and new it did look awesome. It's only been done for a short time, so I don't know how it will hold up. I do know that it fades with exposure to sunlight. I believe that tears can be repaired by recoating it in the damaged area (some brands can not). I'm guessing it would take around 2 gallons to do a truck bed. It must be stirred often when applying, and it does not store well once opened. I think you can buy it in colors now (?) in gallons and in quarts. Price has come down in the last 6 months also. Hope this helps.

I have used it in the utillity box that is on my truck. It was rolled in three years ago when the box was on my old (77) Dodge. It does fade with time And it will scrape off when you throw pipe and heavy Iron things at it. It is easy to Repair. Since I put the box on the new Dodge (94) I repainted the box to match the truck and painted over the liner --It has held up better. It should take about 1gal. & 1qt. To do the box. I have been happy with it . But it is not as rugged as the $pray in liners.

Thanks for the input..... I knew I could count on you guys for some good info. You do however, have the hootus factor and,

for what the stuff costs I might just trow a couple..... tree hundred more at it and have it sprayed proooofessional like... ... . But Joe... ... ..... I likes me hootus just the way it is... ...
