Any experience with Kumho Venture HT tires?

I did a search on the word "Kumho" and came up with only 13 hits.



It's a pretty new name for me. I'm looking for a set of 245/75 for my stock 16 inch rims. The Tirerack.com page has a lot of nice reviews, and the price is right, but I'd feel better if a TDR member had some experience.

I'm in AZ now, but will be in Colorado Springs or Virginia this time next year. I'll need something decent on ice and snow. I have Michelin LTS/MS right now and they've gone just over 70k miles, but they don't give me any confidence on ice and snow.

Just a thought, if you don't find enough on the Kumhos, I'm using the LTX/MS & they're great & better than the OEM tires on the ice & snow. Very confident tire.

Let me tell you........

Have a set of the HT's and they are absolute junk for towing. We don't get any ice or snow here so I don't know about that, but for towing anything over a 2 x 4 they feel like the tail end is riding on marshmellos. Even when I load up something light the sidewalls bulge out. My tire shop, not where I bought them, can't get one balanced to save their life, over 9 oz's on a new rim. I have about 20,000 on this set and 2 already need replacement, and the other 4 or close behind. I tried to save a little money as I drive a lot and the 160 bucks a piece for the good ones were a little more than i wanted to spend this time around... ... ... . what a mistake... ... ... I got the kuhmos for 450 for all 6 installed... ... ... . never again... ... ...

Did the same, had all 6 installed for $500. I only have about 20K on them and I am in need of new ones already.

Sorry I have AT's not HT's, can't see how their any better then the AT's.
