Any FullSizeJeep owners on the board?

I have inherited a 75 or 76 FSJ from my Grandmother. I saw it when I was at the farm last week and it appears to be in pretty good shape. I didn't pop the hood but my Uncle said it was a 401ci but he could be mistaken. The other nagging question is the xfer case, I don't know if it is a hi/low or a hi range only. My Uncle is trailering it down mid-March and I look forward to getting it back on the road.

Anybody else a current or past owner of a Wagoneer or Cherokee?

Im used to have a '74 J20 truck. It had a 360 cid. engine, turbo 400 auto. and a 2 speed transfer. Next to my Ram, best truck I ever owned. I think it has a U shape shift pattern on the transfer, unless it is QuadraTac [full time 4X4].

He's coming to Houston for Spring Break to see my cousins and he was more than happy to bring it. He said I could haul it back and he would pick up his trailer; however, we left during a winter storm warning and I don't have a brake controller. I REALLY wanted to tow it home but it was just to dangerous.

Used to have a 1976 J-10 with a 360 2-bbl, Turbo 400, & Quadra-Trac. It had a 2-speed transfer case with the lever (hi-lo) on the left side of the transmission tunnel @ the front edge of the seat. There was a vacuum switch in the glove box for "Emergency Drive". I believe it locked the transfer case and axles for extreme pulling. Dang thing would go anywhere except past a gas pump. #ad
