Any GM transmission rebuilders out there?

I've got an odd question.....



I'm rebuilding a 200r4. Somehow I lost the linkage rod that goes from the rotating linkage to the sliding spool valve.



The question I have... I have a 700r4 sitting on the floor with no real plans. Could I pull the rod out of that? Is it the right length? Lord knows where I'm going to find one of those stupid linkage rods. I really don't want to buy a junkyard transmission just for that!

I talked with Dave Goerend. He has/had one laying on the shelf that he is going to give me. Thank goodness... . The transmission in my daily driver is about gone!

We couldn't tell if they were the same or not by looking at part numbers because it comes with/attached to another part in both the 700 and the 200.

Glad you got a hold of Dave. Was going to suggest calling him sine he messes with those as well.
