For all you guys in CT - I know there are a handful:

I need to get all my recall work done at some point soon, and am worried about letting the dealer break the throttle linkage. Has anybody in CT had a good experience with any dealers in the area? I live in Stafford Springs, and work in Hartford, so anything in Greater Hartford or North Central part of the state would be good.

If there are no good dealers around, what is the best way to get the parts and do it myself? Do I just walk in with the part #s and recall paperwork and ask they give me the parts?

BTW - I have checked the list on dodgeram.org, but didn't find much there.

Note - First post. Long time reader, member for a while, just haven't posted yet. The questions will start flowing now...

WELCOME ABOARD!!!!! Nice to have another CT member aboard.

 Welcome from some of your neighbors.

To answer your question the only dealer I've been to and have had good luck with is Holley Dodge in Middletown. They deal with mostly trucks so I have no poblem going thier and worrying about some car jockie working on my rig.

However I haven't been there in awhile. My rig is so modified, If I brought it in for warranty work they would laugh. :-laf

They do however modify their own Dodges straight from the factory so they seem to be B. O. M. B. friendly. (Haven't tested it though).

They have some of thier modified trucks at thier Holley MTS Trucks website.

No diesels yet but they are working on it. ;)

MTS' website:

"Level III

All of Level I and II plus:

Supercharger = 435hp and 510 lbs ft torque"

Wow! Nice torque #'s! NOT!

And it even gets 6mpg... sweet!

Click this http://dodgeram.info/survey_dealer/CT/0_ct.htm for good and bad dealers in CT. If you want to do the work yourself, I always do, don't mention anything about the recall just buy the parts, otherwise they might give you a hassle. Save the receipt and send it to DC for a refund, there are instructions on the recall notice.
