As the title states, are there any good junk yards, salvadge yards, what ever you want to call it in the Pheonix area. The only requirements are that they have 1st and 2nd gen (1981-2002) Ram and Ramcharger parts. I will be in the Pheonix area area for a few days in the next few months, so I thought I would do a little playing while I am there. Thanks.

35th Ave and Broadway

Most of the wrecking yards are located in the SW part of Phoenix on Broadway Road between 19th ave and 35th ave. Most of the 1st Gen trucks are stripped clean, however you may get lucky and find a gem that was just towed in.

The only other place that has some parts is Auto Paradise (on 67th Ave)... they have a supply of parts and are well catagorized... . they keep most of it locked up and there is little to browse.

Good Luck...

Robert, tell ya what, just bring that crew down here, leave it here, and I'll give you an old 78 Power Wagon, 87 Ramcharger and 84 Ramcharger for parts, that outta give you some parts to tinker with hehehe... .

6 years ago my son took a "vacation" out to Arizona and California.

While in Arizona he found a rust free cab (a big deal for a New Englander) for his 67 Chevy C10 (was mine). He bought it, then bought and registered a trailer to haul it home on.

He then somehow found an older couple from Ct that was camping in the area, and they offered to let him store the cab and trailer there for two weeks while he went to Ca. They took him and his buddy under their wing.

Then he hauled it back to Ct with his VW Sirocco... . :-laf

True story that has nothing whatsoever to do with this thread.

BTW, the friend that went to Arizona with him bought a 60 Caddie convertable and drove it back to Ct.

Kids.

Sorry... . didn't mean to steal the thread.

No harm done, we have all gone off the thread at some point. I gotta thinkin over the last day or so AHann, do you know any of the names of the yards, as if I remember corectly there is about 5 billion lots in that area (been where you are refering to once)and if you know the name of any it would save alot of stopping and asking time. If not that is O. K. too. Thanks.
