Hey folks! Well I'm as happy as I could be. I now have a new Southbend Clutch installed and love it :D But I now have another problem. I've notice that on the drivers side of the motor I have oil that is pooling on the oil pan. It kinda looks like it might be coming from the blow-by-bottle. I don't think it is and cannot tell where its coming from other than maybe oil pan bolts being loose. Well, I took it to the stealer yesterday, and they said "its the blow-by-bottle causing the oil to build up" I told them that it just started about 5k ago. If it was the bottle, wouldn't it be doing it from day one? They said it could be just getting broke in.

 I've wipped everything down and in about 500 miles it will build up oil again. I'm rambaling on so I'll finish. What I'm asking is have you guys ever experinced this problem, is the the bottle, could this be something that it does after break in? I have 31k. Any ideas would be great! If its not the bottle I would love to take it back and show them the problem. I hate the way they treat you at the dealer, like you know nothing about your truck. Thanks all for the help!!!

If it's in the front, it's most probably the puke bottle. Do as many have done, lose the bottle, and add a 3/4" hose, run inside the frame rail and drop at the transmission cross-member. I have had mine like this now from about 4 months, works great.

Batman, I've been thinking about doing that. What size is the hose thats already there, and how did you attach the two together? Thanks

Kimrey, a buddy of mine (HEYBOSS) did the change for me. But, I believe it is 3/4" hose. I do know he got the parts at Home Depot. I think it is a 3/4" to 3/4" babrbed fitting, 2 hose clamps, and about 6' of hose. The hose is a clear hose hat has some re-inforcing thread in it.

Additionally, try to de a search on this, I know it has been discussed several times, you will get more info tat way.

Yea, it just dawned an me to do a search. Thanks, but has anyone had a problem with a oil leak. I know that IBIG44 had a sensor plug that was leaking. Maybey some ideas on where to look or things to try. I'll be working on the bottle in the meantime.

I love it here, or as my wife would say, "you spend more time on that computer than you do with me" :D

Kimrey, I have heard the "more time on there" spiel too:D Get some simple green automotive degreaser at the parts house and spray everything you can see under the front. Get to the sides of the block from the top. Let it sit for a minute or two and hose it off with your garden hose. Do it again if it is not completely clean. With everything clean you will be able to trace the source of the oil. So far I have had some scary looking oil spots under the truck that were nothing but the blowby tube. On a side note, don't get under there and crank down the oil pan bolts or anything else "good and tight" or you will have a leak. If something is loose torque it to the right spec or just snug it down. Over torque is the number 1 cause of gasket leaks in the known universe. Hope this helps.
