Headlights and blinkers still work. I had heard some trucks have had problems with the headlight switch. Anybody else been here? tnx Tony

Check the fuse for the running lights. Some years ago Mfg. s started wiring the dash lights to the running lights so that you would know when the fuse was blown and had no tail lights.

If the headlight switch recall has been done, check the switch to see if the ground wire fell off. Mine had to be bent to allow the connector to clear the def duct and the tech must have done it with the connector in place because the connector (female spade) was just sitting there, not tight. I used a pliers to finish bending the male spade (it is part of the updated switch assembly) and then squeeze the connectore back down so it would grip tight.

I think you have to remove the switch to see this and it isn't there unless the recall has been done.

where can I find out about the recall? We checked the computer at the Dodge store and it showed no current recalls..... and did not show that this had ever been done to my truck. One of the mechanics did mention it the other day and that is why we were looking today.

Had the same thing happen two weeks ago. My headlights switch was melted all to crap. Replaced both the switch and harness, problem solved.

Warranty? What's that?

I AM my own warranty station, just bought the parts and did it myself. The stealer will never get his hand on my truck, period.
