My "new" 1997 Texas truck is about to spend its first winter in the mountains of Tennessee. Being a flatlander, it has survived for 8 years rust free. Tennessee DOT puts some God-awful liquid salt based concoction on the roads up here when it snows, and it sticks to and attacks metal with a vengance. A few years ago, when I lived in Louisiana, every new car on every lot had some funky undercoating put on at the dealership for which they tried to add another $175 to the sticker. Now, I can't seem to find anyone who even does undercoating. Does anyone have a magic formula, or any ideas, for protecting the underside of my new old truck?
Any ideas will be appreciated.
