TDR Issue 37

GDOA and GTDR Next Gathering (St Louis Area)

Would there be any interest in forming a Phoenix or maybe even a Phoenix / Tucson chapter? I see a few posts from members around the valley and thought maybe a once a month get together over breakfast might be kinda cool. Any takers?

I had posted the same thing a few weeks back and received no responses. I don't thin a lot of people check out this forum. I would be interested. You can e-mail me privately if you want.

Royal - hang tight. Kerry and I have talked to a dealership and they are willing to sponsor us (provide meeting facilities, etc. ). We am in the process of getting a list of TDR members in Arizona. When we get it we will be trying to contact everyone, to see who is interested.

The dealership that we're talking to has a nice meeting room that we could use. This would give us the opportunity to have a guest speaker - probably a vendor, come in and talk to us. The dealership is thrilled to have a chance to be part of this but we need more interest. We can make this a really good chapter if more people will jump on board!!

Hey K-Man,
I'm not in the Phoenix area, but I maybe interested. I'm in NW Arizona, outside of Kingman.

Maybe even start another chapter here if there is enough interest.
Let me know!!

Back to the top. Come on all you Desert Rammers, let's get some more interest and we'll schedule our first meeting!!!

Kerry - I still haven't heard back from TDR about the member list for AZ. I have posted on the BB and by e-mail. Maybe I'll rattle their cage up at May Madness next week. I have talked to Charlie Mitchell again at Bell Dodge and they are very interested. That's all for now.

Hey Rick,
Have a good time at May Madness! Maybe when you get back we should just schedule a meeting and see what happens. I hate to do that and not have a good turnout but maybe that's the way we should get started...

Hey Guys,
Another suggestion, how about an Arizona Chapter. Those of us up north might like to gather over coffee with you all too.

Besides, we have some great getaway spots up here also! #ad
(and it's a little cooler in the summer!)
Let me know!

Hey Sparky10 - who you trying to kid. I just came thru Kingman today coming back from May Madness and there was nothing cool about it.

Kerry - I talked to Robert Patton at May Madness and asked why my to e-mails had not received a response. He apologized and asked me to give hime a call when I get home to remind him and he will get us a list of area TDR members. I am going to see if they will provide e-mail addresses also, to speed up the process.

Maybe we can try and schedule something in late June (provided the list comes quickly)

We will keep everyone informed as this progresses.

Rick G. ,
I didn't mean that Kingman was cool, Although it is cooler in temp. then Phoenix. But the Haulapai Mountain Park is real nice just outside of Kingman. Also Williams or Flagstaff are great areas for camping and get togethers.
(Provide they haven't burnt down by then!)

Sparky10 - we camp a lot by Williams. Usually out in the Garland Prairie area. Very nice area. Saw my first mountain lion out there. My son and his wife were going to go over Memorial weekend, but cancelled, because of the no burn status. When we came thru Kingman on Tuesday it was un-Godly hot. After we turned south off of I-40 onto 93 we hit some areas that registered 107 on the ol' Dodge thermometer (and it is usually pretty accurate). I sent off another e-mail to Robert Patton today requesting the membership roster for Arizona. Maybe we will be able to get something in the works here soon. Not that you would not be welcome (cause you would), but you could double dip by going the Vegas chapter meetings as well. Keep checking this thread, and see how it progresses. Thanks

Kerry - I have not checked the mail today, but nothing so far. If there is nothing there I will call him again tomorrow. I posted a response to your question about a boost module, but you didn't respond. Are you interested in trying a turbo elbow and the DD boost module? You could try mine (for a test drive) and see if you like the results. Let me know.

Kerry (and any other interested parties) - I talked to Robin @ TDR and she is in the process of sending me an e-mail with an Excel attachment of all of the Arizona members. Looks like we can finally get the ball rolling on starting a local chapter. Will be in touch soon
