Three trac bars and finally installed a Lukes Link. The lukes link needs more adjusting and repacking the the OEM trac bars did.

I am leaving on a trip next week and would like to have something to install this week.

A DT would take more time to get and install than I have.

Suggestions?

TIA

I've installed a few Luke's and they seem like the way to go. I asked over in the products forum (were this thread is also going!) how often folks were having to adjust their Luke's, no one answered. I took that to mean no one has had to do it.

I replaced my own tracbar before Luke's was availible with a Napa lifetime warrany. It's been replaced three times without a problem. I just call and tell them I need one, it will be in the next day then we swap.

I may have figured out the problem with the Lukes Link. The ball stud on my tracbar is hitting the washer/spacer/whatever that is supposed to press the little nylon bushing on the ball stud. The hole in the washer/spacer/whatever is not large enough. The guy at Lukes Link said he had seen this before ( as well as the Lukes Link hitting the diff cover). I got a thick washer with a large center hole and let it spin on a bolt while held against the bench grinder at a 30* angle. This reduced the OD so it will fit in the bore, now it seems nice and tight, everything went back together except for the O ring, it kept sliding until I gave up on it.
